Meet the Team: Ryan Helmn

Time to meet another member of our Indiespring team. Ryan joined the business just a few months ago and already covers a range of projects, from .NET Core web apps using React to mobile apps in both Xamarin & Native. In between his work, we managed to sneak in a quick 30 second get-to-know you chat:

What I do now…

I’m a full stack .NET developer and mobile app developer.

What I wanted to do when I was younger…

Thinking back, I’m pretty sure I wanted to be a fireman. Which is obviously a bit different to the job I do now.

My hidden talent is…

I can deadlift over 2.3x my body weight, that’s about as much talent as I have!

What I love about Indiespring…

The culture, everybody is involved in not only company related things but also outside of work things.

My chosen celebratory displate*…

Django Unchained, I think everything about the film is class. And it’s also directed by Quentin Tarantino, who directs my second favourite film, Pulp Fiction!

*What is a celebratory displate?
At Indiespring, we’re big on traditions to unite our teams together. When a new employee joins and passes probation, as a celebration they choose a displate that represents a movie, game, tv show etc. that they love or means something to them and it is added to our displate wall of fame. It’s a great way to learn more about each other, share our interests and to celebrate our various passions.
