Other Post Asma Younus Meet the Team: Jake Hill Since the business launched back in 2012, Indiespring has grown rapidly from our base in Manchester. Our blog shares insights from across our team on technology updates, trends and lessons learnt from our experience as mobile-first specialists. Putting our knowledge and expertise aside, Indiespring has always been a business centred around the people that work within it and we thought it was time we introduced you to some of them. Jake is one of our top Senior Developers. Having started his Indiespring journey in 2014, he works on the Spark team building and maintaining mobile apps, games and websites for a growing number of clients. We caught up with him for a quick 30 second get-to-know you chat: What I do now… Senior Developer on the Spark team What I wanted to do when I was younger… An astronaut, or maybe a doctor. A doctornaut? Either way, I’m not that. My hidden talent is… I’m a drum and bass DJ, sadly not famous, but I am pretty good! What I love about Indiespring… I’m good friends with everyone I work with, so naturally I love spending time with people in and out of work. My chosen celebratory displate*… I chose ‘The Last of Us’ because I (obviously) really enjoyed the game. I played the second one in lockdown but even if there hadn’t been a pandemic, I’d have still stayed indoors for two weeks! Indiespring in one word… Supportive If you’d like to hear more from Jake, you can watch his interview with Dave Thorpe here: Day in the life of Jake Hill. Or find him on LinkedIn: Connect with Jake. When a new employee joins and passes probation, as a celebration they choose a displate that represents a movie, game, tv show etc. that they love or means something to them and it is added to our displate wall of fame. It’s a great way to learn more about each other, share our interests and to celebrate our various passions.
