MUVE is the first online platform by instructors and clients, for instructors and clients. With their in-depth knowledge of fitness and a clear vision of what they wanted to achieve, our team worked with them and built an online training platform that would give both instructors and users a seamless digital experience.

Having worked as a successful Personal Trainer (PT) for over 10 years, MUVE founder Ben Morris wanted to create a tool for PT’s like him to successfully run their business. At the peak of his career Ben realised that time was his biggest challenge. As a trainer, finding time for clients was a priority, but as most PT’s are self employed, there were all the additional tasks that needed to be taken into consideration: administration, chasing payments, dealing with cancellations, etc. The nature of the job meant he would naturally be more lenient with arranging sessions around his clients schedules, but this in turn would mean he was having to use up a lot of his own personal time.

The problem of ‘time’ is not uncommon with personal trainers and it was this that drove Ben and his team to develop a tool that would help PT’s like him run their business.

Established in 2017, MUVE’s purpose was to allow fitness instructors to grow and scale a successful online business, whilst providing users a convenient and flexible way to exercise wherever and whenever they want.

This concept couldn’t have been more welcome as the pandemic closed gyms and forced people to work out in their own spaces. Looking ahead as restrictions begin to ease and the world returns to normal, it’s likely that virtual training will continue to rise as people reap the rewards of being able to work out whenever and wherever they want.

Virtual fitness trends have soared as big fitness studios created apps and online on-demand classes, but like with everything else that shifted to the digital world, many people missed human interaction.

Indiespring worked with MUVE to build a website that would solve the key problems Ben and his team had highlighted. The team was tasked with building a flexible, modern platform with a robust and reliable video streaming service at its core. The user experience for both instructors and clients needed to be quick, easy and seamless, whilst creating a safe space for people to connect online.

The three key areas essential to the success of the platform were defined as:

  • Making a booking
  • Taking payment
  • Video streaming

These were the core elements necessary to launching the platform, and as the project grew more and more features were added such as instructor and member dashboards, calendar views, message boards, review section and class countdowns.

Now live, the site allows fitness instructors to register and provide their services in a way that works for them. Payments are all handled by the platform, they receive their fee immediately and MUVElive.com allows them to reach a new global audience. Unlike other websites, there is no commitment or subscription needed to get involved.

For anyone looking to keep fit, the instructors on board cater to a variety of activities, fitness levels and for those craving accountability and human interaction, there are interactive classes and one on one sessions available.

Looking ahead, although many people are likely to jump back into old gym habits, the growth of online fitness is predicted to continue to rise. Just as businesses are likely to adopt ‘hybrid working’ so too will the world of fitness as clients and instructors continue to benefit from the flexible, convenient and innovative fitness environments created by companies just like MUVE.
