Time to meet another member of our team. Having worked at the company for many years, Indiespring is very much home for Dave, who spends his time organising and executing our online and face to face events. If he’s not busy hosting our webinars, he’s on air with our podcast, so it was quite a challenge to buckle him down for our 60 second chat:

What I do now…

Events and Marketing Manager. I organise and run all of our in person and online events, as well as host our Digital Dissect podcast.

What I wanted to do when I was younger…

I wanted to be a Lawyer after watching the film Liar Liar. I basically wanted to be Jim Carey, doing an important and well paid job.

My hidden talent is…

I would like to think of myself as Indiespring’s own version of Bear Grylls. I love camping, hiking, climbing and outdoors survival is definitely my thing. My most recent personal challenge was walking 100k in a day!

What I love about Indiespring…

Friendship. I class everyone I work with as a close friend and feel lucky and privileged to be able to work with them. On my 30th birthday weekend over 10 of the team travelled all the way to Wales to be part of my celebrations, speaking to them outside of work hours on almost a daily basis. “Do a job you enjoy and you will never have to work a day in your life”… Well I’ve discovered if you work with people whose company you enjoy and this is definitely true.

My chosen celebratory displate*…

Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels as I am a huge fan of cockney gangster films. I love the way they speak to each other in these types of films.

Indiespring in one word…

*What is a celebratory displate?
At Indiespring, we’re big on traditions to unite our teams together. When a new employee joins and passes probation, as a celebration they choose a displate that represents a movie, game, tv show etc. that they love or means something to them and it is added to our displate wall of fame. It’s a great way to learn more about each other, share our interests and to celebrate our various passions.
