Time to meet another member of our team. Sophia joined the business three years ago and is passionate about creating a company culture that is fully inclusive, considerate and full of fun. Her days are busy as she spends her time keeping the team and office in order, but we managed to sneak in a quick 30 second get-to-know you chat:

What I wanted to do when I was younger…

I really really wanted to have magical powers and every year at Christmas I would ask Santa for them! I’d wake up Christmas morning bitterly disappointed that I wasn’t as magical as Matilda. I decided to settle on becoming a teacher which I did fulfil for several years before I went down the HR route.

My hidden talent is…

Usually a shock to most but I studied Chemistry at Manchester university. Happy to challenge anyone to name as many elements of the periodic table as possible 😏

How close and supportive everyone is not just about work, but also about your personal life.

My chosen celebratory displate*…

I chose The Notebook because it has a special meaning to me and reminds me of my grandparents.

*What is a celebratory displate?
At Indiespring, we’re big on traditions to unite our teams together. When a new employee joins and passes probation, as a celebration they choose a displate that represents a movie, game, tv show etc. that they love or means something to them and it is added to our displate wall of fame. It’s a great way to learn more about each other, share our interests and to celebrate our various passions.
